Lomi Lomi is an ancient healing art and one of a spiritual style of massage practiced by Hawaiians (Kahunas) for centuries and handed down through the families for generations. Typically, a tutu (grandmother) or a respected family member practices this art. As each family has their own way (secret/Huna), the style of massage varies from one family to another.
This is for those who wish to help themselves and others to relax, heal, be happy, have a deeper communication with their inner selves, to gain greater acceptance of themselves and their bodies, or to bring another form of sharing into a relationship.
Acquiring new skills in meditation and healing will enhance personal empowerment and awareness, creating a more free, happy, open, healthier, radiant, in touch and balanced being.
Be pampered and nurtured by sharing in the giving and receiving of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. The opportunity of also receiving massages from two bodyworkers at one time is exhilarating. This is an excellent way of opening up the heart and learning a new way of treating yourself and others by making new and renewing friendships.
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi works with opening the heart using the hands and arms as the instrument of the heart so you can open up your body on all levels to let go of the old and make room for new energy and love.
Breathing, rhythm, dance and energy flow are an integral part of the ritual. The dance ritual is done in a beautiful and safe environment, touching the lives of all those we contact, uplifting our physical, mental and spiritual awareness and collective growth. Stress is reduced and healing begins.
Your body is the temple of your soul and it will be expressed even more. And through the medium of touch, we can experience the Divine Life. Tune into the wisdom of your body as your body truly wishes to communicate with you and by doing so, our awareness and intuition heightens. With this new awareness, we can restructure and reclaim our wellness.
Prepare yourself by eating cleansing and nourishing vegetarian food (organic if possible) as this will assist your training and healing process - eating lots of fruit, rice, vegetables (raw or cooked), drinking lots of water with lemon, herbal teas, cutting down/out tea, meat, coffee, white bread, alcohol, white sugar, smokes, salt and have a 10-20 minute daily walk.
Preparation is essential to help open up your body, mind and soul, and to avoid headaches and heavy detoxing as with daily exercise and massage you may experience symptoms of detoxing and cleansing.
Any body, size, shape or form can participate. Come join in the fun, be happy, free, confident, positive and loving. As this is an absolute experiential and hands on training, please be prepared to get very oiled up!
I look forward to sharing this loving, beautiful and powerful experience with you over 3 days.
