Eastern Europe 2015 Pilgrimage by Corrine Brown

The Eastern Europe Refugee Crisis in 2015 where refugees were crossing from East Europe to Western Europe; in search of safety, hope and the chance to lead a normal life.

This is an enormous scale humanitarian crisis and we have a duty to show compassion and to provide them with whatever assistance we can offer for what they need so that they may find a safe haven and enjoy freedom to choose their own future.

On our approach into Salzburg, we were greeted by an enormous human and vehicle traffic chaos for many hours on end. There were tents and camps set up with food and supplies trucks offering soups, raincoats, umbrellas, clothes, blankets etc - all basic living necessities.

Despite the chaos, the situation was under control and organised. The refugees were looked after respectfully with many members of the public offering assistance in all shapes and forms ie: bringing donations, offering their services etc.

Due to the political and media sensitivities, few photos were taken and only select photos are shown here in order to protect identities of individuals and the global sensitivities of the situation.

Life is too short and full of surprises - good and bad.
Enjoy every moment with love, reverence and gratitude.
